ICM Agribusiness (Peechelba Beef) is currently looking to recruit experienced and qualified Truck Driver to join their team in Peechelba VIC.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading
Loading and unloading vehicles using lifting or tipping device
Observing safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles
Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely
Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring secure distribution of weight
Ensuring valuable are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss or damage
Conduct pre-start checks on all trucks in the fleet and ensure all trucks are kept clean and regularly maintained.
Assist with the implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure that efficient feeding is conducted on a day-to-day basis.
Pro-active maintenance of all fixed and moving equipment in the Pen Cleaning and Feeds departments (greasing of bearings/tightening of chains etc.)
Ensure responsibility for the care and welfare of all cattle on site by delivering feed to all pens requiring it in a timely manner.
Keep accurate records of machine servicing, maintenance, fertiliser and ration testing.
Be open and willing to adopt recent processes, innovations and ideas in the milling and feeding department.
Ensure a high standard of presentation is maintained around the designated work area and farm/feedlot.
Maximise the sustainable return from the land, capital, commodity, plant, equipment and water assets used with that department.
To follow all required Work Health and Safety policies and procedures while operating plant and equipment
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
One year of experience operating trucks
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision when required.
An ability to follow set protocols and ensure compliance with relevant animal welfare, safety, and QA requirements.
Salary range is $69,000-$80,000pa commensurate with experience
