About the company Designtec Commercial Furniture manufactures high quality commercial furniture and joinery for projects across Western Australia and nationally. From our modern 6,500m² manufacturing facility in Wangara, we supply commercial furniture solutions to retailers, fit-out companies and major sectors including government, education, healthcare, mining and corporate workplaces. We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Production Administrator to join our team. About the role Working within our pre production team, this role provides key administrative and operational support to our overall manufacturing functions. This position is ideally suited to someone who enjoys a procedural and process driven role, while also having strong lateral thinking, problem solving ability, and a customer focused approach. You will work closely with production, suppliers and customers to help ensure orders are processed accurately, materials are ordered on time, and production schedules continue to run smoothly. Key responsibilities include:
• Processing and coordinating customer orders within our internal systems
• Liaising with suppliers regarding material orders and delivery timeframes
• Supporting production scheduling and maintaining planning spreadsheets
• Providing customer updates regarding work in progress and completion dates
• Coordinating freight bookings and delivery logistics
• Assisting with procurement and stock ordering administration
• Supporting communication between office, production and suppliers
• General administrative support across pre production and manufacturing operations About you To be successful in this role you will have:
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach within a team environment
• The ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• A procedural and methodical approach to work
• Solid problem solving ability with good lateral thinking skills
• A customer focused mindset and professional approach
• Previous administration experience, ideally within manufacturing, production or a similar operational environment
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
• Experience using MYOB or similar systems would be advantageous Hours & Remuneration
• Full time 38 hour per week position
• Standard office hours are generally 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 1.30pm Friday. Some flexibility in working hours may be considered for the right candidate
