**Job Summary**
This position is responsible for the effective and efficient performance of duties associated with interstate and local operations at the Wangara Depot. The operations manager will be responsible for maximising fleet usage and labour usage.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Manage daily transport and fleet operations
- Plan and optimize routes, schedules, and resources
- Ensure compliance with NHVR, fatigue management, and WHS requirements
- Lead, train, and manage drivers and operations staff
- Monitor KPIs, fuel usage, maintenance, and operational costs
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Investigate incidents and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaising with clients in regards to relocation of personal effects interstate and locally around Perth
- Attend to customer enquiries, complaints, billing enquiries and payment
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with contractors, suppliers and clients
- Adhoc Forklift operational duties required
**Qualifications and Skills**
Proven experience in a management/leadership role.
Computer literate and good telephone manner
Positive organization and communication skills
Be able to work in a team environment
Degree educated or similar qualification highly regarded
Experience in transport industry or furniture removals industry highly regarded
Be able to adapt to changing and stressful environment
