Automotive Electrician (Wangara)

About the role ExploreX Caravans are looking for enthusiastic, experienced and qualified Automotive Electricians to join our growing team.

Install, wire and commission 12V DC and integrated 240V AC electrical systems in new caravan builds 2. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings 3. Assemble, install and connect battery management systems (BMS), lithium battery systems, inverters, DC-DC chargers, solar systems and distribution boards 4. Install and integrate electric brake controllers, breakaway systems, lighting circuits, reverse cameras, water pumps, appliance wiring and control systems 5. Perform diagnostic testing, system validation and fault-finding using appropriate electrical testing equipment 6. Rectify electrical faults and ensure systems meet required specifications prior to final quality inspection 7. Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3001 (Electrical installations – Transportable structures and vehicles) 8. Maintain accurate documentation of installations and testing where required 9. Work collaboratively with production teams while maintaining trade-level responsibility for electrical integrity and safety 10. Adhere strictly to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements What we're looking for 1. Minimum 3 years’ post-trade experience as an Automotive Electrician 2. AQF Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent recognised trade qualification) 3. Demonstrated experience in installation, testing and fault diagnosis of automotive electrical systems 4. Strong understanding of 12V DC systems and integration with 240V AC systems 5. Experience with lithium battery systems, solar charging systems and power management systems highly regarded 6. Ability to independently interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation 7. Proficiency in the use of electrical diagnostic and testing equipment 8. High attention to detail and commitment to compliance and safety 9.
