Solid Work Drafter (Wangara)

Glide is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Specialized Assistive Technology to assist persons living with a disability. We provide custom wheelchair solutions for clients ranging from manual wheelchairs through to complex powered mobility, seating, and pressure care needs.

We are seeking a part-time university student with SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Fusion competency to join our growing team as a Product Development Drafter and Designer under the guidance of our Product Development Manager.

This is a fantastic prospect for you to make a meaningful contribution to the development of our products. This role will require a commitment to ensure our clients receive the highest quality solutions. Guidance will be provided by the Product Development Manager with extensive experience in this field, but you will need a common-sense approach to problem-solving and a proactive attitude that will set you apart.

Your main roles will include: Drafting and designing of wheelchair components using Solidworks and/or Autodesk Fusion.

Supporting the Product Development Manager in various R&D; projects.

Collaborating with the team to improve and innovate product designs.

Preparing detailed drawings and specifications for manufacturing.

To be the successful applicant, you will have: Proficientcy in SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Fusion with a strong understanding of design principles.

A confident and friendly personality.

Technical aptitude and a keen interest in product development.

Ability to follow and maintain a filing system on the server.

Integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Clean professional presentation.

Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.

Able to attend work at Glide Wangara and the right to work and live in Australia.
