Description
ND Perspective is a neurodiversity-affirming, multidisciplinary clinic in Wangara, supporting autistic and neurodivergent children, teens, adults and families with NDIS funding. The clinic is led by Alecia Hancock, who brings more than 15 years’ experience building purpose-led organisations, along with lived experience of chronic health disability, is a late-diagnosed ADHD adult and the parent of an autistic child. That lived experience shapes the clinic's direction: practical, family-centred, strengths-based, and designed to support the clinicians doing the work. We are not trying to be a high-volume therapy machine. We are building a thoughtful clinic where neurodivergent people are respected, families feel understood and are well supported, and clinicians have room to do good work. Much of our current speech pathology caseload is focused on early intervention, primary school-aged children and teenagers. We take a client-led approach, recognising each person and family as the expert in their own life. Our role is to support, guide and build capacity within everyday life, not to “fix”. Our team includes clinicians with lived experience of neurodivergence, parents of neurodivergent children, and people who genuinely care about doing things differently. What makes ND Perspective different
- Lived-experience-led: Our clinic is shaped by professional expertise, family experience, and lived experience of neurodivergence.
- Neurodivergent-affirming in practice: We focus on strengths, autonomy, communication, sensory needs, emotional regulation, environment and meaningful participation.
- Our clinic base: Our Wangara clinic includes therapy rooms and a large OT-inspired gym, giving you a practical space for sessions, collaboration and reset time. We also operate in homes, schools and the community.
- Multidisciplinary support: Work alongside psychology, behaviour support, OT and speech, with opportunities to collaborate around shared clients.
- Dedicated clinical lead: Work closely with an experienced clinician, whose role it is to support clinicians and clients for best possible outcomes and support.
- Room to contribute: We are growing parent education, practical resources and better ways to support families navigating neurodivergence and the NDIS. Be part of shaping the way the clinic works and communicates, if this is something you enjoy. What working here feels like

We are intentional about creating a workplace where clinicians feel supported, respected, and able to do their best work. Be part of a small close-knit team, that cares about each other’s wellbeing and success. For us, neurodivergent-affirming practice is not just a phrase in a job ad. It means we are strengths-based, curious and respectful. We are not here to make neurodivergent children, teens or adults appear more neurotypical. We focus on understanding each person’s communication, sensory needs, emotional regulation, autonomy, interests, environment and goals. It also means therapy does not need to look one particular way. Sessions may involve movement, play, visuals, special interests, sensory tools, co-regulation, quiet time, or adapting based on what the client can manage that day. Because we offer psychology, behaviour support, OT and speech under one roof, we aim to understand the whole person, not just one slice of their presentation. We value clear communication, practical support, flexibility where possible, and a workplace where people can have honest conversations about what helps them do their best work. At the same time, we are a team that values accountability, contribution and high-quality care.
