The School of Special Educational Needs: Disability (SSEN:D) is seeking an innovative, dedicated Information Communication Technology (ICT) Support Officer to join our team from Term 3, 2026 in a full time, permanent position. The School of Special Educational Needs: Disability (SSEN:D) SSEN:D is one of eight Specialist Schools within Statewide Services. At SSEN:D we partner with schools to provide collaborative support and resources that promote learning environments where every student’s potential is realised. Support is provided state-wide through a Request for Assistance model that matches the needs of schools to the skill set of Consulting Teachers. SSEN:D is a school that strives for excellence and is committed to building the capability of teachers and school-based staff within a culture of support to ensure every student with disability is a successful student. We provide consultancy services to educators, contextualised and evidence informed professional learning, online research, information, resources and practical support in our service delivery model. We encourage our staff to share knowledge and exhibit self-reflective practices with a focus on quality teaching. Self-improvement is supported amongst our staff through a range of Professional Learning Communities. We have teams based at Statewide Services Centre (Padbury), at our south hub (South Lake Primary School), and in regional centres across the State. The successful applicant would predominately workout of our Padbury hub, with regular visits to support staff at our South hub and where required, regionally. The Role The Information Communications and Technology (ICT) Support Officer will ideally provide training, advice and support to staff on desktop and software applications. They would maintain accurate records of the school’s ICT systems and equipment across multiple sites to maximise both educational and administrative outcomes, including researching and identifying appropriate ICT hardware, software and infrastructure. Coordination and support of telephones, mobile telephones and other portable electronic devices across multiple sites is a key responsibility of this role. Updating internal user systems access, roles, information and system permissions may also be required. The successful applicant may be required to liaise with vendors, service providers and other external and internal stakeholders for provision of services and resolution of issues. This will include coordination of the acquisition, deployment, replacement and recording of ICT equipment across the school. Want to know more? - Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients.
