Location: WA mine site Work Type: Full Time | FIFO | 2/1 roster Frontline leadership position responsible for leading field maintenance teams on a WA mine site. The opportunity This is a standout opportunity for an experienced mining maintenance leading hand to step into a site-based role with genuine influence on safety, reliability and production outcomes. You’ll lead field a maintenance team across blast hole drills and Drill & Blast support equipment, driving fleet availability, PM compliance, asset performance and strong stakeholder engagement. The role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead field service and workshop teams in a fast-paced mining environment where your decisions directly influence equipment availability and production outcomes. You’ll oversee preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, breakdown response, quality work execution and reporting, ensuring blast hole drill fleets remain protected, compliant and production ready. Key responsibilities
· Lead a field service and maintenance team across blast hole drills and support equipment
· Improve fleet availability through disciplined maintenance execution and follow-up
· Drive PM compliance, quality work execution and timely close-out of maintenance tasks
· Lead breakdown response, fault finding and repairs to minimise downtime
· Partner closely with operations to keep equipment safe, reliable and production-ready What you’ll bring to the role
· Trade-qualified diesel fitter, HD mechanic, mechanical fitter or similar
· Supervisory experience in mining (S26 certified), ideally across blast hole drill, drill & blast or mobile plant fleets
· Strong understanding of fleet availability, PM compliance, maintenance planning, CMMS and reporting
· Proven field service leadership with a practical, safety-first and team-focused approach
· Capability in fault finding, root cause analysis and stakeholder engagement; current driver’s licence required, HR licence highly regarded What’s on offer
