Nielsen Funerals are a family owned and operated funeral home. A rewarding chance exists to join our amazing administration team of caring and dedicated people to assist our client families and our funeral directors.

This role would be primarily focused on the design and production of order of service booklets, photo tribute slideshows and personalised photo memorial books and therefore a high attention to detail and critical eye are essential.

Typical duties would include:

Preparing high quality, skilled order of service booklets, keepsake cards and bookmark keepsakes for funeral services by working from instructions from our funeral directors and significant contact with client families. We use a local printer to print the final products.

Preparing photo tribute slideshows (set to music) and holding screen images for funeral services and assisting client families in preparing their photos. This would include scanning photos, working from Dropbox and sometimes taking photos from client phones.

Forwarding proofs to client families for their approval.

Preparing and printing personalised photo memorial books.

Updating our website with funeral and tribute notices.

General office duties would also include:

Greeting client families who attend our office.

Liaising with client families, when their funeral director is out of the office, and assisting them when they attend our office to deliver items such as clothing, photos and information relating to their funeral service.

Downloading chosen music for funeral services.

Data entry with very high attention to detail.

General office duties.

The successful applicant must possess a mature and caring nature and be able to work to some time restrictions to ensure that everything is prepared prior to a funeral service.

A skilled presentation and manner is required.

A Clear Police record and current full Victorian driver's licence is also required.

No previous experience necessary as full on the job training will be provided. This is a very rewarding career for the right applicant.
