About the Business We are a well-established and growing hospitality business in Sydney, known for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer experiences. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities
- Planning menus in consultation with management, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a high standard
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Managing kitchen operations including stock control, ordering, and cost management
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Supervising and training kitchen staff
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Managing portion control and minimizing food wastage Skills & Requirements
- Relevant qualification (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher)
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
- Ability to work in a quick-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
