Maintenance Fitter (Cromer)

Soap Solutions is looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our growing team. We need someone looking for a long term position and wanting to work full time hours Monday to Friday. We are centrally located in Cromer on the Northern Beaches and offer excellent working conditions.

**Reporting to the Factory Manager, your main duties will include however are not limited to**:

- Install and Commission New Equipment
- Carry out line changeovers of production and ancillary equipment
- Troubleshoot and adjust production equipment during the run to achieve optimum output and mínimal down time.
- Maintain all machinery and update maintenance logs including Programmed Maintenance recommended by Equipment Manufacturing
- Plan, organise and prioritise work so as to avoid Production delays.
- Ensure that the production line runs efficiently and productively; coordinate tasks so that production lines run as continuously as possible.
- Communicate effectively with other staff from Packing, Manufacturing and Management.
- Minimise wastage of materials and time by fine tuning equipment
- Work efficiently on breakdowns to minimise downtime on production lines.
- Set up production and packing equipment and strip down and reassemble production equipment to produce quality product as efficiently as possible..
- Monitor the quality of product throughout the filling run and make appropriate adjustments to maintain quality and compliance.
- Carry out scheduled calibration and checking of equipment.
- Participate in packing trials of recent or modified packaging and products, new or modified cleaning procedures, and validation activities as needed.
- Disassemble and Reassemble for Maintenance as required.

**To be considered for this role, you need to have**:

- 4+ years experience working with Pharmaceutical or food industry packaging machines
- Forklift licence is advantageous
- Ability to work within a team and autonomously.
- Machining Experience would be an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail

Pay: $90,000.00
- $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
