Harnest is the social and affordable housing arm of Mazzei Group, delivering social housing, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and medium-density residential projects across Victoria and South Australia. Due to continued growth across Regional Victoria, we’re seeking a values-led, commercially astute Construction Manager to oversee projects and site teams across the Warrnambool, Horsham and Portland regions. The Opportunity As Construction Manager, you’ll provide leadership, direction and support to Site Managers and Supervisors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to an exceptional quality standard. Working closely with the Head of Construction and Project Managers, you’ll take ownership of in office operations while embedding strong governance, safety culture and commercial discipline across multiple regional projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, leadership and building strong relationships across regional communities. What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead and mentor Site Managers across multiple regional projects
- Drive safety, program and quality performance on site
- Protect cost outcomes and minimise commercial risk
- Oversee trade performance and subcontractor compliance
- Ensure exceptional client and stakeholder experience through to handover What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years’ residential construction experience with strong leadership exposure
- Certificate IV (or higher) in Construction Management or a relevant trade qualification
- Strong knowledge of NCC, BCA, WHS legislation and Australian Standards
- Proven capability managing programs, trades and stakeholder relationships across multiple sites
- Solid commercial acumen with the ability to protect cost, time and quality outcomes
- Experience working across regional projects or dispersed site teams highly regarded Why Join Harnest
