Finance Manager - UDC (Warrnambool)

The Union Dairy Company has an annual processing capacity of 300 million liters of raw milk and began production in 2017. Located in Penola, South Australia – the purpose-built plant provides a state-of-the-art factory and is the newest of its kind in the southern hemisphere.

The Union Dairy Company (UDC), part of the Midfield Group, is currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team based in Warrnambool, Victoria. The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organisation. This includes managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and strategic financial planning. The role supports executive leadership with insights and recommendations to drive business performance and ensure financial sustainability.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead preparation of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws and regulatory requirements
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and financial systems/process improvements
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Supervise and develop finance team members Liaise with external stakeholders (i.e banks, auditors and regulatory bodies)

- SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
- Strategic thinking, financial acumen, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial compliance, and Australian regulations
- Advanced Excel; Power BI knowledge desirable
- Excellent communication, leadership, attention to detail, and time management
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's in accounting, Commerce, or Finance; CA/CPA preferred
- Previous experience in financial management or senior accounting roles will be preferred Experience in the dairy or farming industry will be highly regarded but not essential
