Livestock Feeding & Machinery Operator (Warrnambool)

Brief Description Union Pastoral Co as part of The Midfield Group is one of Australia's largest 100% family-owned companies, proudly producing high quality dairy products. Based in Warrnambool, Victoria, we are now seeking a reliable and motivated Livestock Feeding & Machinery Operator to join our team for the livestock feeding season, with the opportunity to transition into a broader machinery operation role within the business once the feeding season concludes. This is a hands‑on position and suited to someone who takes pride in livestock performance, machinery care, and working as part of a large, well-structured farming operation. About You
- Experience with livestock feeding systems (preferred but not essential)
- Confident operating tractors and agricultural machinery
- Mechanical aptitude and respect for equipment
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and animal welfare About The Role
- Daily feeding of livestock using mixer wagons and silage feed‑out equipment
- Accurate ration mixing and feed delivery to maintain animal health and performance
- Monitoring feed intakes and reporting any issues with stock or rations
- General feed pad and yard cleanliness and organisation
- Operation of modern agricultural machinery including: JBC, John Deere, Case, Fendt Tractors
- Protected and efficient operation of feeding equipment
- Basic machinery maintenance, servicing checks, and fault reporting
- Opportunity to move into a wider machinery operation role outside of the feeding season, including cropping, harvest support, and general farm machinery operations What We Offer
