Production - Mill Production Operator (Terang)

Position Mill Production Operator / Blends Operator – Terang, rotating shift structure (24‑hour roster Monday to Sunday for Mill, two shift roster day & afternoon Monday to Friday for Blends). Key Responsibilities
- OHS/WHS Compliance:
- Take reasonable care for own health and safety and that of persons who may be affected.
- Co‑operate with any reasonable instruction, policy and procedure.
- Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided at the workplace.
- Identify and report all hazards, near misses, injuries, illnesses and incidents.
- Behave in a manner that demonstrates care for others and Ridley product and property.
- Quality:
- Attend and participate in all relevant training and personal development.
- Actively participate in planned site meetings.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and Feedsafe requirements and assist in maintaining accreditation.
- Participate in the site continuous improvement program.
- Production:
- Ensure all aspects of the manufacturing process are planned and executed within acceptable tolerances and site targets.
- Empty storage silo of finished product into designated tote bins.
- Prepare and fill bulk bags of finished feeds as required.
- Accurate inventory reconciliation and reporting to site management.
- Ensure plant and equipment meet specified standards and are in a safe working condition.
- Report staff and workplace issues to the Site Manager, focusing on continual improvement.
- Any other responsibilities and/or authorities as designated by Shift Supervisor, Site Manager or Delegate.
- Identify and report non‑conformances as per Ridley process.
- Test and unload incoming raw materials and products.
- Test and load outgoing finished products.
- Check off and verify incoming products and materials.
- Prepare hand‑tip weighing of premixes accurately for each production run.
- Learn and be trained on all key production requirements to support the Shift Supervisor. Key Requirements
- Sound knowledge of OH&S; and Environmental Policies and Legislation.
- Ability to work shift work and overtime.
- Good communication skills.
- Physically fit to undertake manual and repetitive tasks.
- Team player capable of meeting all targets.
- Reliable and motivated.
- Sound computing skills; able to work in Office and AX programs.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
