Breeder Rearing Farm Manager - Killarney

**About the Role**

The Role is responsible for overseeing and co
- ordinating the Breeder Rearing operations in delivering a safe, profitable, compliant and sustainable business that contributes to the achievements of Darwalla’s Breeder Operational Plan.

**Duties**
- Co-ordination of all farm activities for the achievement of short and long-term business objectives.
- Ensure appropriately trained staff are available for specialist tasks including Vaccination, shed walks, grading of birds, etc.
- Undertake serological monitoring and ensure that all medications are administered as required and in the appropriate manner.
- Ensure all farm administration duties are performed in accordance with Darwalla guidelines, including the completion of all relevant reports and documentation within specified timeframes.

You will work together with a small experienced team and report directly to the Breeder Operations Manager. It is a full time permanent position, where you can expect to work some weekends.

Our 6-shed Killarney rearing farm is located 26 minutes from Warwick With a stunning view of Queen Mary Falls and surrounds

**About you**
- Previous poultry industry experience is required
- Conversant with animal welfare standards, legislative obligations and Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
- Self-motivated to work unsupervised and demonstrate effective time management skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- An integral member of the team and possess a demonstrated ability to manage and direct staff, whilst possessing an ability to allocate tasks to meet departmental objectives
- Strive to meet industry “best practice” standards
- Decision making and problem solving skills
- Conflict resolution skill
- Excellent communication skills
- Car and Licence
- Forklift ticket
