Job Title: Production Worker
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Worker to join our clients team. Our organization is committed to delivering high-quality products that meet our customers' specifications and expectations. As a Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing and production process, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate a steel bandsaw to cut railway components to precise customer specifications.
- Utilize hydraulic drills for creating accurate drill points on railway parts as required.
- Perform hot assembly of product parts, adhering to client specifications and safety standards.
- Assist in various general production and manufacturing tasks as assigned.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and finished products using forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Operate basic hand tools and production equipment; training will be provided as necessary.
- Support machine operators with equipment setup, feed raw materials, and clear outputs post-production.
- Conduct visual quality inspections to detect any defects or damage in products.
- Pack, label, and prepare products for shipping and delivery.
- Maintain a clean and protected working environment by performing housekeeping duties.
- Strictly adhere to Work Health & Safety (WHS) procedures and onsite regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing role is desirable but not required, as training will be provided.
- Experience with steel bandsaw and hydraulic drill operations is a plus.
- Forklift licence is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving manual handling, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in environments with industrial noise, dust, or temperature variations.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety.
- Excellent team player with a proactive and positive "can-do" attitude.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to changing processes and technology in the production environment.
