Senior Chef Full Time $73,150 to $80,000 plus superannuation Warwick RSL Services & Citizens Memorial Club T / A Club Warwick RSL Located in the heart of Warwick, Queensland, Club Warwick RSL is a large hospitality and entertainment venue operating 7 days a week with high-volume lunch and dinner service, functions, events, gaming, and bar operations through its Bistro on King and club facilities. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Chef to join our kitchen leadership team on a full-time basis. Position Overview The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining high food standards, supporting junior staff, and contributing to menu development across a busy à la carte and functions environment. Key Responsibilities
- Planning and preparing high-quality meals across lunch, dinner, and function service
- Supervising kitchen operations during busy service periods
- Assisting with menu planning, specials, and seasonal offerings
- Monitoring food preparation, portion control, and presentation standards
- Training and mentoring apprentice and junior kitchen staff
- Managing stock rotation, ordering, and minimising wastage
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, WHS, and hygiene regulations
- Maintaining consistency and efficiency in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Coordinating with management regarding operational requirements and customer expectations Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 1 years experience as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Experience in high-volume bistro, club, restaurant, or functions environments
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced workplace
- Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance standards
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays Employment Details
