Located in the heart of Warwick, Queensland, Club Warwick RSL is a large hospitality and entertainment venue operating 7 days a week with high-volume lunch and dinner service, functions, events, gaming, and bar operations through its Bistro on King and club facilities.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Chef to join our kitchen leadership team on a full time basis.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining high food standards, supporting junior staff, and contributing to menu development across a busy à la carte and functions environment.

Key Responsibilities Planning and preparing high-quality meals across lunch, dinner, and function service Supervising kitchen operations during busy service periods Assisting with menu planning, specials, and seasonal offerings Monitoring food preparation, portion control, and presentation standards Training and mentoring apprentice and junior kitchen staff Managing stock rotation, ordering, and minimising wastage Ensuring compliance with food safety, WHS, and hygiene regulations Maintaining consistency and efficiency in a high-volume kitchen workplace Coordinating with management regarding operational requirements and customer expectations

Skills & Experience Required Minimum 1 years experience as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent Experience in high-volume bistro, club, restaurant, or functions environments Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a rapid-paced environment Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance standards Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Employment Details Full-time position Salary: $73,150 to $80,000 plus superannuation depending on experience Location: Warwick, QLD
