Queensland Operations Manager - Wind Farm Project (Warwick)

This opportunity is based on a landmark renewable energy project in Queensland, supporting the operation and long-term performance of a major wind farm asset contributing to Australia’s clean energy future. About the Role As part of the Australian Service team, the Operations Manager will play a key role in leading site operations and managing a team of Service Technicians to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality service delivery across the wind farm. This is a site-based position in regional Queensland, Monday to Friday, requiring a hands-on leadership approach and regular engagement with technicians and operational teams on site. Accommodation, meals, and travel-related expenses will be provided. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage site-based Service Technicians to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality maintenance activities
- Monitor operational KPIs and performance metrics across the service function
- Drive turbine availability and operational performance across the site
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment, training, and development of technicians
- Oversee site safety audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Control operational costs and stock levels within the service area
- Review site reporting, including maintenance, availability, HSE, and timekeeping data
- Support smooth transition activities between project delivery and service operations phases
- Manage customer-facing operational matters and resolve service-related issues when required
- Use operational data and performance insights to support decision-making and team performance Skills & Experience
- Experience within the wind industry or a comparable heavy industrial sector (e.g. renewables, power generation, mining, utilities, oil & gas, infrastructure)
- Proven leadership experience managing field-based or remote operational teams
- Strong understanding of HSE requirements and operational performance management
- Experience working in complex or matrix-style organisations
- Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving capability
- A structured and systematic approach to operational leadership
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Willingness to work site-based and travel as required Why Apply?
