Key Accountabilities will include:

- Provides engineering support and guidance in Automation systems, and Control Hardware / Software related issues.
- Develops functional specifications for in-house coding or external programming and specifies hardware and software for automation solutions.
- Ensures testing and acceptance of control system hardware and software.
- Provides PLC and PC programming of new control systems as well as improvements to existing control systems including safety PLC’s, HMI’s and associated hardware.
- Design and Project Manage control system installation and commissioning, managing technical documentation, electrical drawings, software version control, archiving and backup of critical data
- Prepare project scope, budget and timeline documentation.
- Provides Engineering support including RCA for engineering and production issues, including equipment uptime (OEE), preventative maintenance and workflow improvements.
- Leads and participates in Process Improvements including safety, quality, delivery and cost initiatives.
- Experience in designs new Plant and Equipment ensuring compliance to Australian Standards including Electrical compliance and Machine Safety and Guarding.

- Engineer solutions to maintain and enhance machine safety on site
- Upholds secure systems of work and company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the compliance of proprietary equipment supplied to Donaldson
- Sets the expectation to work safely through responses and commitment.
