EOI Renewable Energy Engineering Intern Position Overview Coast Wide Energy is seeking a motivated Renewable Energy Engineering Intern for a Full-Time position (38 hours per week). Based in our regional office, this hybrid role balances hands-on engineering tasks with essential backend project administration, bridging the gap between technical design and operational logistics. Remuneration & Benefits
- Base Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 AUD per annum (plus statutory superannuation), in line with Australian industry standards for engineering interns.
- Employment Type: part -time moving to full time fixed-term contract. Key Responsibilities (But not limited to) Technical Support
- System Design: Assist senior engineers in drafting solar, battery storage, and hybrid layouts.
- Performance Analysis: Evaluate client energy data to forecast financial and energy savings.
- Site Audits: Participate in on-site technical inspections and infrastructure assessments. Operations & Logistics
- Supply Chain: Source engineering components and order project stock from approved vendors.
- Inventory Control: Coordinate heavy equipment deliveries, manage crate shipments, and track hardware.
- Utility Approvals: Submit grid connection applications directly to electrical network providers. Administration & Compliance
- STC Processing: Prepare, verify, and submit Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) compliance forms.
- Financial Admin: Draft client invoices and cross-reference incoming supplier bills.
- Data Management: Log project timelines and maintain clean data across company databases and CRM tools. Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Currently studying or recently graduated with a degree in Engineering (Renewable, Electrical, or Mechanical).
- Software: Proficient with Microsoft Excel; experience with AutoCAD or solar design software is highly regarded.
- Traits: Strong attention to detail, highly organised, and comfortable balancing office admin with engineering tasks.
