Disability Support Worker Wyong

Daily Tasks: Developing and implementing programs with the participant to grow their living skills and abilities so they can make decisions affecting their lives, live as independently as possible and participate in the community. Supporting our clients with various household tasks including menu planning, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and other activities of daily living. Supporting clients with complex and/ or challenging needs. Transporting clients to their appointments/ outings/social events/shopping assistance. Companionship and social support. Supporting clients in decision making and networking with various groups to develop their interests and pursuing their goals. Documentation of the progress and work along with other stakeholders to support the recovery of the clients.

Our requirements: Cert III, IV in Disability or Diploma in community service. Experience with mental health, complex and challenging behaviours, and high physical support needs will be highly regarded. A current Australian Drivers Licence and an insured vehicle. Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain). National Police Check (or willingness to obtain). NDIS check Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain). Manual Handling training and certificate. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Right to work in Australia.
