About the Role History Teacher St Aloysius' College is seeking to appoint a passionate and innovative History Teacher to inspire and cultivate a positive learning experience for our students. As part of our dedicated and collaborative History Department, you will utilise your expertise to teach History to our senior school (7-12) students. This position will involve teaching History across all stages. The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of NESA curriculum requirements and integrate inquiry-based learning and differentiation strategies to meet the academic and emotional needs of all students. This position offers an excellent opportunity for both recent graduates and experienced educators to contribute to a vibrant school community. The successful candidate will also actively participate in the pastoral and co-curricular life of the College and be committed to their own ongoing professional growth. - Commitment to the mission of Catholic education of boys in the Jesuit tradition;
- Qualified to teach History at secondary level, in line with NESA and College requirements;
- Suitable qualifications and demonstrated experience in teaching History Years 7 – 10;
- Ability to create a positive, supportive and engaging classroom climate that meets the academic, social and emotional needs of all students;
- Ability to design, implement and evaluate curriculum collaboratively in accordance with College and NESA syllabus guidelines and outcomes
- Proven ability to ensure teaching and learning activities reflect contemporary pedagogy, including the ability to integrate an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning and differentiation strategies;
- Understanding of, and ability to use data to analyse, report on and manage student progress, and to report to parents in a variety of ways that keep them regularly and fully informed of their children’s progress;
- Possess a valid Working with Children Check.
