**Primary Purpose**:
- Undertaking of an emergency support or incident management role, via a defined ‘operational’ on-call roster, with the potential to be re-called under emergency situations, to enable the provision of emergency service activities by CFS to the community. Whilst undertaking such operational roles, personnel will be required to work in emergency situations, which may include day, afternoon, night, or extended shifts.
- Develop partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders (all levels of government
- including interstate, NGOs, business/industry sector and appropriate community groups) to promote community and organisational bushfire preparedness, resilience and achieve risk reduction behavioural impact.
- Oversee the development of well researched/evidence-based tools, printed and online material and programs to support the agency’s efforts to promote community and organisational bushfire preparedness and resilience.
- Contribute to the development of bushfire prevention strategies and services, information and preparedness campaigns.
- Provide program and policy development services to CFS Community Risk and Resilience Directorate, particularly leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of the CFS community engagement strategic uplift plans.
- Contribute to the capacity building of CFS agency staff (particularly the Community Risk Reduction Partnerships team and Regional Community Engagement cohort) and volunteers to deliver effective and productive community engagement.
- Progressively develop a comprehensive understanding of CFS operations and policy.
- Contribute to the maintenance and assessment of external partnerships in bushfire preparedness and resilience initiatives.
- Engage with state and national government agencies, private organisations, planning authorities, disaster risk reduction forums and the community on all-hazard risk reduction, bushfire preparedness and resilience.
- Represent CFS at public events and local, state, national and international forums, as required.
**Essential Qualifications**:
- Minimum of a tertiary degree in a relevant field such as education, media/communications, public policy or social sciences.
**Remuneration**: **ASO7** **$108,109
- $116,864**
