- Extend your learning: Access to LinkedIn Learning for professional development About The Role We are seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join our Kwinana team on a permanent basis (38-hour week, 9-day fortnight). In this role, you will own and drive process performance across designated areas of the plant, working closely with operations and maintenance teams to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and deliver practical, data-driven improvements in safety, efficiency and product quality. You will analyse plant and laboratory data to identify trends, develop tools and dashboards to support decision-making, and provide clear, actionable performance insights. The role involves active field engagement, influencing on-shift performance, and ensuring improvement actions are implemented through to completion. You will also contribute to process safety and SHEQ outcomes through involvement in JHAs, incident investigations, Management of Change and broader process safety activities, as well as supporting accurate end of month process accounting. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Performing design calculations, developing technical scopes and review/approval of engineering documents.
- Providing support to the Production Department in plant and equipment monitoring.
- Provide process engineering deliverables for capital projects e.g. project initiation, Design basis, HAZOP, LOPA, datasheets, commissioning
- Championing process safety within the business, demonstrating sound understanding of process safety issues, equipment, and standards industry wide
- Participating in the TRONOX global ‘Centre of Excellence’ program.
- Leading the development and implementation of innovation analytical tools for the business About You
- A degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred) or Chemistry
- Experience in a process or fixed plant workplace
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate insights into action
- Experience with process monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement
- Exposure to tools such as PIVision, Power BI, SEEQ or similar (highly regarded)
- Understanding of process safety, incident investigation and MOC
- A proactive, accountable mindset with a focus on delivering outcomes
- Ability to work closely with operations and influence on-shift performance
