Description
We are currently seeking a **qualified, innovative and enthusiastic part time (FTE 0.6) Education Assistant** to join our secondary team for an ongoing contract starting **January 2026**. If you are an experienced educator and committed to nurturing students to “be exceptional” in all areas of life, we’d love to hear from you.

**About You**:

- Committed Christian with a biblical worldview
- Passionate about education support and student wellbeing
- Willing to contribute actively to College life and values
- Hold relevant EA qualifications and have the following skills and experience: **Skills and experience**
- Be a Christian, sharing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Adhere to the 'Staff Code of Conduct', 'Child Protected Policy', and ‘Statement of Affirmation of Faith’.
- Promote the College in the community and surrounding districts.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, families and team members.
- Relevant Education Assistant qualifications, e.g., Cert III, IV or equivalent in School-Based Education Support.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to enable professional interaction with a range of people, including parents and support staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
- A current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
- Become an active team member within the College, consistent with its vision and mission.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**

- Demonstrated active support and commitment to the ethos and values of Christian education, evidenced through previous experience or involvement in Christian educational settings.

**Professional Experience and Skills**
- Demonstrated experience working with students in an educational or ministry setting.
- Ability to perform various tasks effectively, such as hosting small group learning or supporting students in different learning environments
- Willingness to support the school's mission and ethos, integrating Christian principles into daily work practices and interactions with students, staff, and community members.

**Empathy and Patience**:

- Patience and empathy are crucial qualities for an education assistant, especially when working with students who may require additional support or have special needs. The ability to understand and empathise with students' challenges while remaining patient and supportive is essential for building positive relationships and fostering a nurturing learning environment.

**Teamwork and Communication Skills**:

- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and administrators to ensure a high level of support for students.
- Education assistants must be able to adapt to the dynamic nature of the classroom environment and be flexible in responding to the needs of students and teachers. This may involve assisting with a variety of tasks, supporting different learning activities, and adjusting strategies to meet individual student needs from diverse backgrounds

**Adaptability and Problem-Solving Ability**:

- Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and respond promptly to unexpected challenges.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement necessary improvements in a timely manner.
