Job Description About the role The Trade Manageris responsible foroverseeingthe growth of Scenic World’s B2B sales channel and leading key trade relationships that support commercial performance. Acting as the primary point of contact for the Group Sales team and the key liaison between Sales and Operations, this role ensures strong internal alignment and seamless delivery for trade partners. The Trade Manager playsan important rolein developing and distributing product pricing, while also leading the Experience Planning team to deliver exceptional pre-visit service for groups, FITs (Free Independent Travellers)and visitors to the administration building. What you will do
- Plan and execute strategies to grow B2B and group visitation across established and emerging markets Collaborate with and guide the Group Sales team and agency partners to deliver sales growth, set targets,monitorperformanceand address issuesimpactingthe group customer experience Ensure group sales activity supports strong commercial outcomes and a consistent, high-quality experience for trade partners and guests Lead,mentorand support the Experience Planning Team Leader and wider Experience Planning team to deliver exceptional pre-visit customer service and maximise sales and service opportunities across Scenic World products Provide effective people leadership, including training, employee engagement, performancemanagementand capability development Ensure the Experience Planning team consistently delivers high-quality service for groups, FITs and all visitors engaging with the administration office Work closely with Operations to manage ticket allocations between groups and FITs, particularly during peak periods, to support capacity management and guest flow Collaborate with IT and Finance to ensure booking systems are fit for purpose and that company information such as pricing, payment options and availability isaccurateand current In consultation with the Head of Marketing, conduct annual reviews of trade products, negotiate terms with relevantpartnersand ensure Scenic World-only contractsremaincurrent Develop draft pricing for Scenic World products in collaboration with internal stakeholders and support bundled ticketing and broader pricing strategies across ticketed products Desired Skills and Experience What you will bring Tertiary qualification in marketing, tourism, business or otherappropriate disciplineand relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience and/or education and training.
- Previousexperience in, or a thorough understanding of, the inbound tourism industry and group travel sales market
- Highly developed interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
- Experience with negotiation and management of supplier contracts
- Proven ability to work effectively across multiple departments and teams to achieve successful outcomes
- Demonstratedexperience supervising a small client-focused customer service team
