Climbing Arborist & Groundsman (Werribee)

Milones Tree Solutions is one of Melbourne's most professional and leading arboricultural businesses operating out of Werribee in Melbourne's western suburbs. Due to rapid growth and expansion, we are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated people with industry experience looking to keep fit in the great outdoors! These roles are a great opportunity for someone looking to work in a niche industry or for someone looking to work in a smaller family run business with great morale within a fast paced setting. Our team works on a variety of worksites including local government, private residential and commercial work. Our work is varied, challenging and exciting and covers all aspects of tree care and preservation (without repetitive line clearance work!) This position is full-time and work includes a wide range of arboricultural labour activities. Climbing Arborist: To be suitable for the role of Climbing Arborist, applicants should have a minimum of 2 years’ full time experience in a climbing role in a fast paced, labour intensive environment. Applicants MUST have a MR or HR licence and be at least Cert III qualified. Groundsman: To be suitable for the role of groundsman, applicants should have previous experience in a fast paced, labour intensive environment. Applicants MUST have a drivers licence, and applicants with MR or HR licence will be highly regarded. Applicants must possess a great personality, great work ethic, can-do attitude and the professionalism and ability to work within the residential environment as well as on council contracts and various large commercial sites. The following would be highly regarded:
- White Card
- Working with Children Check
- MR licence
- Current first aid level 2 certificate and CPR training
- A strong work ethic, initiative, reliability, good people skills and physical fitness
- Well-developed mechanical aptitude and skills
- High risk work licence (EWP)
- Knowledge and appreciation of OH&S; practice. Previous industry experience is desired but not essential for these roles. Candidates who have no tree experience but are interested in tree work/arboriculture, are physically fit, enjoy working outdoors and a down to earth can-do attitude are encouraged to apply!
