The Opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team on a 9-month contract, based at our Melbourne office and warehouse in Truganina.

Key Responsibilities

Replenish stock, ensuring productive and timely delivery of goods

Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with vendors

Assist with sourcing and procurement activities across product categories

Monitor inventory levels across warehouses and replenish stock to optimal levels

Track and monitor shipments, providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders

Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entry in ERP and related systems

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Formal training in Purchasing, Procurement, Inventory Control, or a related discipline

Proven negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors

Strong organisational and planning capabilities

Demonstrated problem‑solving and analytical skills in a rapid‑paced environment

Strong business acumen with advanced Excel and data analysis skills

Excellent communication skills with fluent English, both written and verbal, and the ability to liaise confidently with management

A customer‑oriented approach with robust interpersonal skills
