Cook – Arcare Werribee Permanent Part Time Position | Friday, Saturday and Sunday | 7AM – 3PM

The Cook plays a significant role in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents at Arcare by providing delicious and nutritious meals. The cook prepares appetizing and well-balanced meals while fostering positive dining experiences that contribute to the overall health and well-being of our residents. Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Meal Preparation – Responsible for preparing meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef. Ensure that the meals are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of individual residents.
- Special Diets – Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents.
- Food Safety and Hygiene – Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Quality Control – Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring that they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
- Collaboration with Kitchen Staff – Work as part of a team in the kitchen, collaborating with other kitchen staff, to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Skills & Experience
- Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
- Adaptable, passionate and willing to learn
- Collaborative and skilled at teamwork
