Description
About John Holland At John Holland, our purpose is simple – we transform lives with everything we do. Job Description We’ve always known that infrastructure is about people – our customers, our employees, and the communities in which we work every day. That’s our difference: deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way. Be part of the team that’s up for the challenge of transforming lives for positive. About The Project We’re delighted to have been chosen by Melbourne Water to deliver a world‑first solution for the rehabilitation of the Western Trunk Sewer (WTS). We’ll be relining a 4.4 km section of the existing sewer main using slip‑lining technology. While the technology itself isn’t new, the challenge is that no one’s ever done it with such a large diameter pipe – 4.3 m – and in live‑flow conditions. The Western Trunk Sewer is one of Melbourne Water’s most important assets, transferring approximately 57 percent of the city’s total annual wastewater flow. We are looking for a Safety Advisor to join our Western Trunk Sewer project based at the Western Treatment Plant in Werribee, halfway between Geelong and Melbourne. Your Role As a Safety Advisor you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well‑being of employees and contractors. You’ll be part of a safety team that leads the implementation and continuous improvement of our safety management systems. You’ll carry out hands‑on inspections and audits, provide trusted, practical advice to support safe work delivery every day, collaborate closely with project teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards, develop and deliver safety training programs, monitor compliance with safety standards, investigate incidents and accidents, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our safety culture. We reward and support our people in many ways, including flexible work arrangements, generous leave policies, wellbeing and relationship support, and a focus on your overall wellbeing. We Offer
