Electrical & Instrumentation Technician – Power Industry
Wood Australia is seeking Expression of Interest for Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians with Power Industry experience to work as part of the team providing outage services for an upcoming project.
As an E&I; Technician, you will apply your expertise installing, servicing, repairing electrical, instruments and control systems ensuring that all work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standards.
You will become part of a team focused on delivering solutions for our client’s assets in Queensland and creating excellence delivery across assigned electrical scope of works.
Applicants must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for the role.
Responsibilities
Site Proficient: Experienced in outages and projects in the power generation or heavy industrial sector
Team Oriented: Have the ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills
Workplace Safety: Committed to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues
Experience: Previous shutdown experience
Qualifications
Valid electrical license
Certificate III Instrumentation and Control
Certificate III Electrotechnology Systems, preferred
Confined space entry – within 3 years from date of issue
Working safely at heights – within 3 years from date of issue
Construction white card
Driver's license
Role Details
Casual: DIDO or FIFO
Project Dates: February 2027
Roster: Monday to Saturday, Days/Nights, 11‑hour shifts.
Competitive Base Rate with casual loading on all hours + Overtime + Site Allowance.
Other Perks: Accommodation is provided to distant workers.
The successful candidate will undergo a Wood medical check and will be required to provide certificates and WAH, CS tickets before undergoing the medical.
