Fluid Management & Pump Operator – Field Operations Full-time or Casual (open for discussion) | Operations Department | Reports To: Operations Superintendent About Us We provide fluid handling and pumping services to energy, mining, and infrastructure projects across Australia. Our teams work on remote, high-compliance sites where safety, reliability, and operational efficiency are essential. We focus on delivering practical, dependable solutions in demanding field environments. Location & Work Conditions This is a field-based role operating across regional Queensland, with an initial scope of work in remote Northern Territory projects. The position is worked on a 21 days on / 21 days off roster, with travel to remote and interstate project sites as required. Following the initial Northern Territory scope, the role may transition into additional project work across Queensland and other interstate sites, depending on operational requirements. This role involves periods away from home and work in remote and industrial environments, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions. The Role As a Fluid Management & Pump Operator, you'll be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and demobilisation of fluid transfer and pumping systems on active worksites. This is a hands-on field role where you will work as part of a crew to ensure equipment is installed correctly, operating safely, and maintained throughout project execution. You'll also be required to troubleshoot equipment issues on site and ensure downtime is kept to a minimum. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and dismantle fluid pumping and transfer systems on field sites
- Carry out routine inspections, basic servicing, and minor repairs on equipment
- Monitor system performance and respond to operational or mechanical issues
- Work collaboratively with field crews to coordinate fluid movement activities
- Follow all site safety procedures, permits, and isolation requirements
- Maintain accurate job records, maintenance logs, and safety documentation What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years' experience in fluid handling, pumping systems, or similar field-based operations
- Strong understanding of pumps, hoses, valves, and fluid transfer systems
- Ability to work in remote, physically demanding environments
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and compliance systems
- Practical problem-solving ability when dealing with equipment or site issues
- Current driver's licence and Australian work rights Essential Tickets & Requirements
- Valid Driver's Licence
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Site safety induction / permit-to-work training
- Medical clearance confirming fitness for field work Desirable Qualifications
- Confined Space Entry
- Working at Heights
- EWP, Crane, or Telehandler high-risk licences
- 4WD or site-specific inductions (e.g. operator/client approved sites) What You Can Expect
