About The Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on and reliable Field Service Mechanic to join our local Coates Team, based right here in Chinchilla. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing our wide range of equipment – from earthmoving and access equipment to generators, pumps and more. No two days are the same.

What You’ll Do

Diagnose, service and repair equipment in the field and workshop

Support customers with breakdowns and ensure equipment is protected and ready to go

Work independently while being backed by a supportive team

Uphold Coates high standards for safety, service and reliability.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

Relevant Trade qualifications

Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills

Current drivers licence, Forklift and EWP tickets (beneficial)

Effective time management and attention to detail

Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
