Metal Fabricator Hopeland

Rivlow Pty Ltd is looking for qualified and experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team located in Hopeland. As a family run business Rivlow Portables specialises in both commercial and residential transportable buildings and delivering them across WA. This hands-on role involves fabricating, assembling, and welding steel components to accurate specifications, ensuring structural integrity and high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate and assemble steel chassis, wall frames, and structural components for transportable buildings.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.

Operate fabrication tools and equipment, including MIG welders, grinders, saws, and drills.

cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines

shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering

aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments

joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting

examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision

finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions

cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding

Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Assist in the installation and alignment of chassis and frame structures.

Work collaboratively with production teams to meet project timelines.

Skillsand Experience:

A certificate III with two years of on-the-job training OR a Certificate IV with 1 year of work experience OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience

Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding (MIG/TIG).

Robust understanding of steel frame construction or modular building systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $80,000.00
