SCCQ seeks a dedicated and experienced Exercise Physiologist to work from our new Health & Wellness Centre in Chinchilla. In this role, you will improve health outcomes for individuals and groups within the community through expert assessments, exercise prescription, and tailored care planning based on client needs. - Employee Assistance Programme for employees and their families About the role As the Exercise Physiologist at our centre, you will provide best‑practice clinical care within the scope of practice, including but not limited to the following:
- Delivering high‑quality exercise physiology services to clients across aged‑care and community settings.
- Designing, implementing, and evaluating individual and group programmes in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Developing, facilitating, and assisting with the running of health promotion, rehabilitation and support programmes.
- Participating in care planning, case conferences, and health promotion initiatives.
- Conducting assessments and developing tailored rehabilitation and health education programmes.
- Supervising allied health assistants to ensure effective delivery of care and achievement of programme goals.
- Upholding clinical standards and actively contributing to service development and continuous improvement. What you bring to the role
- Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology with ESSA (AEP) accreditation.
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number.
- Experience supporting clients with complex physical and/or mental health needs.
- Understanding of funding models such as NDIS and Medicare and related reporting.
- Strong communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
