**About the opportunity** As a Pathology Courier, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quick and secure transport of vital samples and supplies, directly impacting patient care across New South Wales. NSW Health Pathology’s Institute of Clinical Pathology and Medical Research (ICPMR) at Westmead supports healthcare state-wide and is a leading facility in diagnostic testing, research, and disease surveillance. You will be working as part of the Courier Team within the Central Specimen Reception Department at Westmead ICPMR. The service unit provides a 24 hour, 7 days a week, quality, timely and efficient transport service between Westmead, Auburn, Blacktown, Mt Druitt, Nepean and the surrounding Sydney Metro area.

**What you'll be doing**
- A level of fitness appropriate to courier duties: walk long distances and lift, carry and move items of up to 10 kgs over an eight hour shift
- Ability to be flexible and participate in a 24 hour / 7 day roster including public holidays.
- Current unencumbered Class C NSW drivers license with exemplary driving record. (Recent RTA infringement record print out required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver efficient and effective services
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated excellent time management skills with the ability to maintain high quality work output while managing competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and within a team and to promote teamwork as a basis for improvement.
