We pride ourselves on delivering a premium dining experience, offering a up-to-date twist on contemporary Australian cuisine infused with traditional Mediterranean influences. We operate a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen where teamwork, quality, and passion are at the heart of everything we do. We are currently seeking a skilled, reliable, and passionate Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. About the Role In this role, you will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain our high standards of food execution, presentation, and kitchen efficiency. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking high-quality breakfast, lunch, and function menu items with a focus on consistency, taste, and presentation. Supervising kitchen floor operations and assisting with the training and mentoring of junior staff members. Demonstrating comprehensive recipe knowledge and execution for all menu items. Managing stock control, monitoring inventory, and ensuring correct rotation and storage of all produce. Maintaining strict food safety compliance in line with HACCP regulations, quality assurance policies, and workplace health and safety (WHS/OH&S;) standards. Ensuring the kitchen environment remains exceptionally clean, organized, and hygienic. Fostering a positive, collaborative, and harmonious working relationship within the team. Conducting daily prep line checks to ensure all necessary ingredients are ready and stocked before peak service hours. Accommodating guest dietary requirements, allergies, and special requests accurately without compromising food quality. Skills & Experience Required To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience working as a Cook in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or café environment. Qualifications: Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (or equivalent international/domestic culinary qualification) is highly preferred. Cuisine Knowledge: Proven expertise in modern Australian and Mediterranean cooking techniques and methodologies. Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to delegate effectively and work cohesively in a team. Attributes: Exceptional time management skills, the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and a strong eye for detail. What We Offer
