Our client is a fast-growing food ingredient and innovation business seeking a commercially minded Financial Accountant to join their finance team and support the next phase of growth. This is a hands-on opportunity suited to someone who enjoys working in a dynamic FMCG/manufacturing environment and partnering closely with leadership teams to drive financial performance and operational decision-making. You will play a key role across month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and commercial analysis, while helping strengthen financial processes, controls, and reporting capabilities across the business.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end month-end close process
- Prepare management accounts including P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
- Build and maintain annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Deliver meaningful commercial insights and financial analysis to support business decisions
- Conduct detailed analysis of P&L; and balance sheet accounts to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Support preparation of board packs and leadership reporting Commercial & Operational Finance
- Deliver margin analysis across products, customers, and sales channels
- Monitor AR ageing, cash allocation, bad debt provisioning, and trade spend impacts
- Partner with Sales Finance and key stakeholders to resolve commercial accounting matters including returns, reversals, and bad debt
- Manage working capital, cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes Compliance & Controls
- Manage BAS/GST, excise obligations, and tax compliance requirements
- Coordinate statutory reporting requirements with external accountants and auditors
- Support external audit processes and ensure timely completion of audit requests
- Partner with stakeholders to strengthen internal controls and remediate audit findings Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain integrity of accounting systems and support system integrations across the business
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting
- Utilise Oracle NetSuite to support financial operations and reporting About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- CA qualified
- 5–7 years’ accounting experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a related manufacturing environment
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- Advanced experience with Oracle NetSuite (essential)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Australian Citizenship (required) Desirable Experience
- Food ingredients or manufacturing sector exposure
- Experience within a high-growth business environment
