About The Team Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the prospect to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience. About The Role Our Coles 360, Loyalty and Customer team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer which will primarily focus on Topsort, personalisation and B2B initiatives. Ultimately, you will deliver first‑class software in an agile environment to support CLC. The Coles 360, Loyalty and Customer team is responsible for key customer and growth platforms including Coles ID login and registration, Topsort and Retail Media growth, content management, personalisation and B2B services. Work Experience
- Seasoned engineer with at least 10 years in product development teams
- Strong hands‑on capability with .NET
- Working knowledge of Azure or similar cloud platforms
- Practical exposure to event‑driven systems and Kubernetes
- Background delivering solutions in large, complex and high‑traffic environments Commercial Skills & Formal Qualification
- Tertiary qualifications in a technology‑related discipline such as computer science, software engineering, information systems or similar.
- Proven ability to coach, support and mentor junior engineers.
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple technology and business teams.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, with the ability to promote and embed them across a team.
- Confident stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capability.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound market knowledge and experience delivering and managing technology solutions. Key Responsibilities Software Delivery
- Development of solutions within Azure Cloud
- Support existing services within CLC
- Code review, testing, deployment, and maintenance of platform services
- Continual learning and knowledge of the technologies used in the Coles, as directed by the engineering leadership within eCommerce Services Leadership & Collaboration
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capability
- Transparent and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach
- Collaborative working style across the Customer, Loyalty & Coles360 team and the broader Coles community
