- Allied Health Assistant 1–2 Days Per Week Locations: Wangaratta, Albury, Wodonga & Surrounds Are you passionate about supporting people to build independence, confidence, and meaningful daily routines? We are seeking a motivated and personable Allied Health Assistant to join our growing team on a casual basis, working alongside our Occupational Therapists to support NDIS participants in the community. This flexible role offers 1–2 days of work per week and is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, building rapport with participants, and facilitating engaging community-based programs. About the Role You will work directly with participants in their homes and community settings, supporting them to develop practical life skills and achieve their individual goals. Participants may present with
- Mental health conditions
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Mild to moderate intellectual disability The role involves a combination of 1:1 support and facilitating small group lifestyle programs focused on healthy living, social connection, and building everyday life skills. This role does not require any manual handling or personal care. Responsibilities
- Delivering 1:1 community-based support to participants
- Supporting participants with practical life skills including:
- Home organisation
- Meal planning and basic cooking
- Establishing healthy routines and habits
- Confidence building and support with employment pursuits
- Facilitating small group healthy lifestyle programs, including:
- Easy and healthy cooking activities
- Group lunches and social participation
- Exercise and wellbeing-focused activities
- Collaborating with Occupational Therapists to implement participant goals and strategies
- Maintaining clear and accurate participant documentation and communication records
- Coordinating appointments and scheduling What We Offer

- Ongoing supervision, mentoring, and training from experienced Occupational Therapists
- Fortnightly team meetings with clinical discussions, case reviews and service delivery reflection

- No after-hours or weekend work About You We are looking for someone who is:
- Warm, reliable, and personable
- Comfortable working independently in the community under indirect supervision
- Confident in facilitating small groups and encouraging participant engagement
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage their workload independently
- Competent in using technology for communication, documentation & scheduling
- Passionate about supporting participant outcomes and independence
- Able to commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months to support continuity of care, trust, and strong rapport with participants Essential Requirements
- Minimum 12 months experience in disability, mental health, or community services OR currently studying/completed Cert III or above in Mental Health, Disability, Allied Health Assistance or related field
- Current driver’s licence and insured vehicle
- National Police Check
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
