Registered Nurse (Baranduda)

Residential Aged Care Facility
- Baranduda Westmont Aged Care is seeking experienced and agile Registered Nurses to provide holistic care to residents, including care for their physical and mental well‑being and safety. You will be responsible for providing safe, competent nursing care to residents as allocated or delegated by DoCCS within the scope of practice as determined by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You will also provide clinical leadership direction, supervision and change implementation support to PCA’s, EN’s, EEN’s and trainees. There will be an expectation of delivery, management, and supervision of medication administration according to legislative and Westmont’s policy and procedure requirements. Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) Division 1 with current registration with AHPRA
- Experience in Residential Aged Care
- Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and the Aged Care Act, 1997 requirements
- Understanding of AN‑AAC Documentation Demonstrated Abilities
- Fosters a team approach to ensure optimal care outcomes for residents
- Reviews assessment & care plans for residents under review and residents of concern
- Documents any observed exceptions to the care plan in the resident’s progress notes, and documents follow‑up action taken
- Responds to altered health status in residents by informing colleagues, supervisor, families, and doctors as appropriate
- Reports required changes in Care Plans to the Care Coordinators to enable amendments to be made. Applications must have a resume and cover letter.
