Education Support Officer – School Based Education Support (SBES) Location negotiable subject to campus availability. Permanent full time. $96,098 package includes base salary ($84,666) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. About the role We are seeking a passionate and motivated Education Support Officer (ESO) to join our cooperative team of industry professionals. The position is campus‑based and requires attendance on site, but the specific campus is negotiable. Working under the supervision of the Head Teacher and, as needed, with teaching staff, you will support TAFE students studying school‑based education support qualifications online. The role is best suited for individuals who have experience as a SLSO, CSA, LSO, Teacher’s Aide or other classroom support roles. Note This role does not teach or prepare lessons or resources, nor deliver training or undertake assessment. About you You are a motivated and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about supporting learners in the school sector. You bring strong industry insight and enjoy helping students build confidence, develop practical skills, and engage meaningfully with their learning journey. You are confident working in an adult learning environment and take a positive, proactive approach to student support. Known for your explicit communication style and approachable manner, you enjoy problem‑solving, explaining concepts effectively, and contributing to a supportive and engaging educational experience. You value teamwork and collaboration, build respectful, effective working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, and are adaptable to both face‑to‑face and virtual environments. You are technologically capable, having experience using tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and online platforms like MS Teams to support students in both face‑to‑face and virtual learning environments. Qualifications

1. Certificate III in School Based Education Support or above and minimum of three (3) years experience working in a classroom setting. 2. Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in School Based Education Support. 3. High‑level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive, show initiative, and explain ideas clearly and concisely. 4. Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students. 5. Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and provide quality customer service as part of a broader team. 6. Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies. Successful candidates must hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencing. An Australian National Criminal Record Check will also be conducted as part of the pre‑employment process.
