Control Systems Engineer (Wollongong)

We are patnering with the premier system integrator in the Illawarra region who are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to lead technical outcomes, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions across diverse and challenging projects. About the Company Our client is a privately-owned, multi-disciplinary industrial services company who have been in the Australian market for the past 40 years.

They specialise in industrial automation and system integration, mechanical & electrical construction and instrumentation, with trusted partnerships servicing mining, manufacturing, water, energy and infrastructure, providing full lifecycle management, turnkey projects, process optimisation, maintenance and more. About the Role As a Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering system integration projects while working alongside a talented engineering team. You’ll be responsible for:
- Contribute and lead projects of varying size, scope, and complexity
- Providing technical expertise in PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, instrumentation, and automation systems
- Preparing scopes of work, execution plans, and schedules
- Acting as Job Supervisor for assigned projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required standards
- Ensuring compliance with safety, governance, and quality systems
- Liaising directly with clients and fostering strong relationships About You

- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Control, Instrumentation, or related field)
- 3+ years technical experience in automation, control, or electrical projects
- PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems integration experience
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and client-facing skills
- Previous experience as a contractor highly advantageous Why Join
