**What you'll be doing** The Dental Assistant assists dental officers and oral health therapists to deliver safe and effective oral health services by providing clinical and administrative assistance and support.

**Selections Criteria**
- Experience in dental assisting and qualification in a field recognised by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia or equivalent, OR experience and preparedness to undertake Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
- Demonstrated high level of competency in assisting with all oral health care procedures.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of current infection control principles and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to use computer software and electronic systems to complete work tasks.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of the team.
- Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances with the Health Service and overnight stays at health service expense. Evidence of a current Class C driver's licence.
