**About the Venue**: Located just one hour south of Sydney in the scenic Illawarra region, **Novotel Wollongong Northbeach** is a premium 4.5-star beachfront hotel overlooking North Wollongong Beach. The hotel offers 209 stylish rooms and suites with breathtaking ocean and mountain views. It features five food and beverage outlets, a pool, fitness centre, convenience store, and 15 versatile event spaces, making it a destination for both leisure and business guests, as well as a premier venue for weddings, conferences, and large-scale functions.
**About the Role**: We’re looking for enthusiastic and guest-focused **Hotel Receptionists** to join our **Front Office team** on a **full-time, part-time, and casual overnight basis**. As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a smooth arrival and departure experience, and providing support throughout their stay. **Key Responsibilities**:
- Deliver seamless check-in and check-out experiences with efficiency and warmth
- Provide accurate information and assistance regarding hotel services, local attractions, and guest requests
- Handle reservations, payments, and room allocations with attention to detail
- Respond to guest feedback, concerns, and emergencies with professionalism and care
- Uphold front office procedures and maintain service standards across all shifts
- Support overnight operations, ensuring guest and hotel security during night shifts (where applicable)
- Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to deliver a unified and guest-centric experience
**About You**:
- Previous front office or customer service experience (hotel or hospitality experience highly regarded)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, guest-first mindset
- Calm and solutions-focused when handling guest enquiries and unexpected challenges
- Competent with hotel systems (Opera/PMS preferred) and Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and some overnight shifts
