Laser Operator (Brooklyn)

**About Us**

We are a Melbourne-based engineering company specialising in steel fabrication and project support. We provide services for a wide range of commercial and industrial projects, including structural steel work, customised fabrication, and in office project support.

**The Role**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up, operate and monitor laser cutting machines according to job specifications.
- Load and unload materials, align and adjust workpieces.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders and blueprints.
- Perform basic maintenance on machines (e.g., cleaning lenses, replacing consumables).
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, dimensions and quality.
- Maintain accurate production records.

**Requirements**:

- Familiarity with semi-automated or CNC laser machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Physical capability: standing for long periods, lifting / moving materials.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin) and English is preferred.

Pay: $35.00
- $40.00 per hour
