Mechanical Engineering Technician (Wyee)

**Company Overview**: Vertical Transport Solutions Pty Ltd (VTS) is a leading provider of escalator and elevator installations, servicing, and modifications. We also specialize in security systems, home automation, and CCTV. Due to our growth, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team for an immediate start. This role offers a dynamic workplace with opportunities to work on a wide range of electrical systems and installations.

**Key Responsibilities**: As a Mechanical Engineering Technician with Vertical Transport Solutions, you will be responsible for:

- Assist engineers in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and equipment.
- Create and modify CAD drawings for mechanical components and systems.
- Develop prototypes and conduct performance tests.
- Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend solutions.
- Ensure proper calibration of equipment and machinery.
- Perform stress tests and inspections on mechanical systems and components.
- Maintain detailed records of test results and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and industry standards.
- Collect data and prepare reports for engineers to improve system efficiency.
- Analyze performance issues and recommend design modifications.
- Conduct research on materials, manufacturing processes, and new technologies.
- Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and other technicians to solve technical problems.
- Provide technical support during project execution phases.
- Train and guide team members or clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Prepare technical documentation, including manuals and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and safety guidelines.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Certification**: Qualifications related to Electrotechnology, Mechanical Engineering Technician or related field.
- **Experience**: At least 2 years of experience in electrical installations and maintenance, ideally with elevators, escalators, or related equipment.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic testing instruments, diagnostic tools, and familiarity with PLCs and automation systems.
- **Additional Requirements**: White Card, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Pay: $80,000.00
- $90,000.00 per year
