We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead daily operations within our busy Hemmant facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving performance across receivals, dispatch, inventory accuracy, storage allocation, team coordination, and continuous improvement in a dynamic 3PL workplace. About the Role
- Open and close the site each day, ensuring the warehouse is secure, organised, and operationally ready.
- Conduct pre-start checks on warehouse machinery and ensure equipment is safe and serviceable before use.
- Organise and manage all dispatch areas throughout the day to maintain an efficient outbound workflow.
- Support and oversee pick packing of bulk orders, ensuring accuracy, presentation, and on-time dispatch.
- Prioritise container workflow in collaboration with the Operations team to maximise labour and space utilisation.
- Oversee the receival process, complete cross-checks, and ensure inbound stock is received accurately and efficiently.
- Manage customer storage allocation across both e-commerce and bulk pallet stock to optimise warehouse space.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring all movements are recorded correctly.
- Use WMS and RF scanners to maintain warehouse accuracy, stock visibility, and transaction integrity.
- Contribute to team meetings, communicate daily priorities, and support a strong team culture.
- Manage pallet stock levels and maintain the CHEP account accurately.
- Report daily to the Operations Manager on workflow performance and provide practical plans to improve the storage offering. What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a warehouse leadership role, ideally within a 3PL environment. 1.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce fulfilment, bulk pallet storage, receivals, dispatch, replenishment and inventory control.
- Experience using warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology.
- Confident leading by example in a hands-on operational role.
- Strong organisation, problem-solving, and workflow planning skills.
- Sound knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and equipment pre-start requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with operations and warehouse team to meet daily targets.
- Forklift licence and practical loading/unloading experience essential. 1. Location and Hours This is a full-time warehouse leadership position based on-site in Hemmant.
